From Regions Beyond

1858-??? Leota Ravenscroft was born in swamplands of Louisiana to a voodoo queen and traveling Romani. It was also rumored she inherited from her great grandmother who fled from the Salem Witch Trials. At a young age, Leota started showing signs of communicated with spirits and foreseeing the future. Most of the townsfolk never trusted her and thought she made a child of the Devil himself. At the age of 16, her grandmother gifted her the Book of Shadows, which contained many spells and incantations, including the most dangerous ones which she warned against.   Leota set up her own shop in the French quarters of New Orleans. Inside it was filled with artifacts, relics and other curiosities for his own “Museum of the Weird.” Including an Egyptian sarcophagus complete with a mummy, shrunken heads and cursed artifacts. Sally Slatter  1874-1898 Shara Slatter or Sally as she was called by her stage name was a cousin of Master Gracey. A young woman who came from a wealthy family in Georgia, as a child she had a rebellious streak to her when her parents wanted her to be a proper lady. At the age of 15, Sally decided to run away and join the circus to pursue her dreams. Sally joined the circus in his honor, and thus became a talented acrobat and tight-rope walker.   She made her debut in McKim’s Carnival of Dreams, where she met her lover Paul the circus lion tamer. However this relationship was too short, Paul was mauled to death by the lions. With the loss of her lover, Sally slipped into a melancholic stage of grief. During that stage, she would consult with the carnival's fortunate teller to communicate with her deceased lover.
