Music to their Ears

Victor Geist 1858-1897

Victor Geist was one of the most prominent musicians in Switzerland. As a child, he was privately schooled by a master pianist. Victor would perform in concerts and parties to entertain the nobles. After his parents death, he later moved to America, where he became employed by Master William Gracey as the resident musician.

One of Gracey’s finds was a Scottish pipe organ from a Scottish landowner that was rumored to be cursed. It was here he would perform for the many parties at Gracey Manor. One day while Victor was practicing for his latest piece, the lid on the slammed itself shut. Victor survived, but it left his fingers disfigured. After the trauma, Victor lost his musical ability and couldn't cope with it anymore. He later poisoned himself. After his death Victor still played on his favorite organ.
